Is this true? I'm surprised it wasn't on TMZ or one of those. The DMV is soooo frustrating. I went to switch my California Driver's license to Texas and was told to be the first one in line and it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out it was a problem and I had to do it online but there were not enough staff so long story short--I had to retake both the written and actual driving test. The guy was gleeful that a woman who had been driving for years in California, had to pass their test. He actually scolded me a couple of times and I sucked it up. I passed but it was humiliating. You can't get fired at those gov't jobs. So, although I'm not a Swiftie, I feel her frustration. I think the relentless media attention is more likely to cause them to break up. It's all too much! Very sleuth-like that you found out about it! sabrinalabow.substack.com

Craziest place was McDonalds for Valentine's Day. I thought it would be funny, and it turned out she was (A) uncomfortable that I got her a hundred-dollar gift certificate for a cool, local bookstore and (B) probably (though non-verbally) annoyed that I took her to McDonalds. I put my money in the wrong basket.
For whatever reason the Washington DC area is now referred to as "the DMV" in local publications. (Presumably for DC, Maryland, Virginia). So now every DMV joke confuses me for a minute.
The last time I went to the DMV, I was charged with a CDL, and have been driving in very large circles ever since. I do not know what life is anymore, much less love. Do not recommend.
Yeah I read a lot of those books! Both Tom Swift and Tom Swift Jr. were great. My family tried to collect all of them one time. My brother has read nearly every single one.

I thought that might be the case! I didn't think they would ever wait in line!

Thank you for the shout out for Tom Swift!

Too funny. The resemblance and stoic comparison of the DMV clerk with an Easter Island statue was just the best.
